www.synbio.ed.ac.uk). You will use your expertise in high-resolution mass spectrometry to establish a high-throughput pipeline for both targeted and discovery mode analysis of various metabolite classes from host chassis, working with principal investigators across the Centre and the wider University.
You will bring solid experience in liquid and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and associated data analysis, statistics and sample preparation evidenced by being lead author on publications in the area. Ideally, you will bring experience of the following: Metabolomics, statistical analysis of large data sets, HPLC/Orbitrap, Thermo Fisher LC/MS, GC/MS and R.
Applicants should have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related biological discipline with at least 2 years postdoctoral experience and ideally 4 years of working in metabolomics.
