A post-doc position is available in the group of Prof. Christian Heinis at the EPFL in Lausanne (
https://lppt.epfl.ch). The primary focus of the research group is the development of macrocycle therapeutics using innovative methods to generate and screen combinatorial libraries of (peptide) macrocycles.
The goal of the post-doc project is the development of (peptide) macrocycle therapeutics that can be administered by the oral route. This has been a longstanding goal of the pharmaceutical industry. The post-doctoral student will establish novel methods to synthesize and screen combinatorial libraries of macrocycles and apply them to generate macrocycle-based ligands of therapeutic targets. The projects involves chemical reaction development, automated peptide synthesis, compound screening, ligand characterization and biological evaluation.
Applicants need to be highly motivated and able to lead a project independently. They should have an education in chemistry, biochemistry or a related subject. Entrance date: January 2019 - July 2019
To apply for the positions, please send a letter of motivation, a CV and a list of references to Prof. Christian Heinis (
[email protected]).
