We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate with experience in the design, synthesis, purification, and characterisation of novel organic compounds to work in the Molecular Imaging Lab in the Department of Imaging Chemistry and Biology (
www.witneylab.com).
The post holder will develop new chemistry and novel fluorine-18 labelled radiotracers for cancer imaging with positron emission tomography (PET) as well as synthesise and characterise a library of non-radioactive reference compounds and precursors for radiolabelling. In collaboration with the new GMP radiochemistry facility at KCL (the PERL), we will seek to translate these novel imaging methods to the clinic.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in both synthetic chemistry and fluorine-18 radiochemistry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant multidisciplinary research group within one of the premier biomedical imaging centres in Europe, where you will enjoy support in career development through Fellowship applications, networking events, and attendance at international conferences.
