EPFL-TOPO (Geodetic Engineering Laboratory) is committed to foster the foundation and development of tools and novel concepts for navigation and sensor fusion into the operational environment of light-weight drones of different shapes to enhance substantially their real-time estimate of trajectory as well as navigation integrity in areas with sporadic or no satellite positioning. We also aim at integrating a novel paradigm of mutli-sensor fusion in high-resolution mapping, solving the current limitations of orientating scanners and/or line sensors over surfaces lacking heterogeneous texture. More information about the lab can be found on the lab webpage
