Prof. Haiou Zhang, expert in mechanical engineering, academic leader of State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing and
Equipment Technology. D.E of Tokyo University, Deputy Director of Foundry Branch of China Mechanical Engineering
Association, Director of Foundry Branch of Mechanical Manufacture and Automation, Vice-Chairman of China 3D Printing
Industry Alliance, academic committee member of China Additive Manufacturing Industry Alliance, Chief Director of Hubei
Special Processing Academic institution. Prof. Haiou Zhang was awarded Top Ranking Prize of Japan Mould Technology
Institution. The research findings had been listed in Research Contribution Price Catalog of Japan Powder Technology Institution.
Prof. Haiou Zhang was recommended to HUST through “113 Talented People Project” in 1998, and then started to lead the
team to conduct the research in composite additive manufacturing theory, processing, data processing, software designing,
detecting control and other key technologies and to conduct research in digital manufacturing equipment in the past 20 years.
His research findings had won the Gold Medal at the Geneva International Technology Invention Exhibition in 2017. His
research findings has been applied in many fields, and has completed the 3D printing of core components such as aero engine
casings, aero-engine transitions, aircraft hang-ups, ship propellers, frogs, nine-node joints, and turbo pumps of large international
companies such as General Electric Company, Airbus, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd., AEEC Xi'an Aero-
engine Ltd., AVIC Chengdu aircraft Industrial (Group) Co., LTD., China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation ( CSIC ), China
Railway Engineering Corporation, China Construction Steel Structure Corp. Ltd., and Gree Electric Appliances Inc.
2. Qualifications
To be considered for the project, candidates must:
1) Under the age of 35.
2) Have a doctoral degree in materials science and technology, institutional design, testing and control, software for additive
manufacturing, robot and composite CNC machine tools, artificial intelligence and unmanned trolleys / unmanned aircraft,
ultrafast lasers.
3) Published academic papers in major international journals or conferences, and have relevant research experience.
4) Have strong theoretical foundation, practical ability, independent research ability, and good team spirit.
3. Benefits
1) Salary: 190,000-210,000RMB per year.
