Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Fiona Wardle at King’s College London to study the transcriptional regulation of endoderm formation in zebrafish.
This project focuses on early germ layer formation in vertebrate embryos and aims to build an experimentally validated Gene Regulatory Network (GRN) for endoderm development, using a combination of genomics, genome editing and zebrafish embryology.
The project will involve generation and bioinformatic analyses of high-throughout sequencing data (e.g. 4C-seq, ChIP-seq), molecular cloning, generation of zebrafish transgenics, CRISPR/Cas9 genome modification and GRN modelling.
We seek a committed and enthusiastic individual with a demonstrated motivation for engaging in high quality research. Candidates should have proven skills in molecular biology and embryology, and would benefit from having experience in analysis of high-throughout sequencing data and/or modelling of networks. Candidates should have a PhD or be near completion in a relevant biological subject area.
The selection process will include a short presentation and panel interview.
