Postdoctoral Research Position in Host-Pathogen Structural Biology - PNAC
Salary Range £30,464 – £33,305 per annum

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the Group of Dr Patrycja Kozik at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). The overall goal of the group is to dissect the molecular mechanisms involved in the initiation of anti-tumour immune responses by dendritic cells. You will work on a CRISPR-Cas9-based screening project aimed at identifying factors that control adjuvanticity or immunosuppressive properties of cancer cells. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the Functional Genomics Group at AstraZeneca, where part of the work will be conducted.
You should have a PhD degree in a biological subject (e.g. immunology, cancer biology) or you are due to complete your doctoral studies within 6 months. You should have experience in flow cytometry and/or functional genomics and a strong interest in immunology, cancer biology and genetic screening approaches.
You will be awarded a 2 year Career Development Fellowship/MRC Postdoctoral Training Scheme. The fellowship is a Training and Development position for a Postdoctoral Scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, or is moving into a new research discipline.
