    Our laboratory seeks to appoint a highly motivated scientist to work on dissecting the molecular mechanisms that regulate chromatin conformation in eukaryotes, which is a strong focus of the group (Hug et al., Cell 2017). In particular, the successful candidate will generate and analyse Hi-C datasets to investigate how chromatin conformation is established and its impact in regulating the correct deployment of developmental gene expression programmes or in disease. The position will also involve integrative analysis of Hi-C and other relevant genomic datasets (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&RUN, etc) as well as generating additional datasets where necessary.

    Requirements
    We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented postdoctoral fellow with a PhD in molecular biology, genetics, epigenomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or a related field, and with a strong drive to excel in a highly international and collaborative environment. Previous experience in genomic data analysis (e.g., Hi-C, RNA-seq or ChIP-seq) is highly desirable but not required. A successful candidate without previous programming or genomic data analysis experience will be expected and supported to develop these skills as part of the position. Prior programming experience, proficiency in genomics data analysis, and/or a demonstrable interest in developing these skills should be detailed in the cover letter.

    Terms of employment
    The position is offered initially as a fixed-term appointment for one year with the possibility of further extension following a successful evaluation. The position is available immediately.
