Applications are invited for a temporary postdoctoral researcher, UCD Sutherland School of Law, to form part of a team funded by the European Research Council.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role on a cutting-edge project investigating the way that laws influence our decisions to engage (or not to engage) in environmentally compliant behaviour in Europe. You will be the postdoctoral researcher on the project, and will form part of an interdisciplinary international team of six people, comprising Professor Kingston, 3 Ph.D. students, a research assistant and the postdoctoral researcher.

The project, which has been running since 2015, is now entering the data analysis phase, and the successful candidate will have particular responsibility for helping to analyse the data collected, including by means of statistical regression analysis, and also data collected from surveys and interviews. The successful candidate will also help to design the final part of the project which employs behavioural economics techniques. The position may involve some travel from time to time within the EU, depending on the candidate’s interest, linguistic skills and availability.

    Salary: PD1: €36,854 - €42,603 per annum. PD2: €43,828 - €47,728 per annum.

This position may be appointed at either UCD Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 depending on the relevant qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Closing Date: 17.00hrs (Local Irish Time) on 3 July 2018.

Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified. Any applications which are still in progress at the closing time of 17:00hrs (Local Irish Time) on the specified closing date will be cancelled automatically by the system. UCD are unable to accept late applications.

UCD do not require assistance from Recruitment Agencies. Any CVs submitted by Recruitment Agencies will be returned.

Prior to application, further information (including application procedure) should be obtained from the Work at UCD website: https://www.ucd.ie/workatucd/jobs/.
