    Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate post within the Computational Materials Science Group of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina, Greece. This position is within the EU Horizon2020 project CORNET: Multiscale modelling and characterization to optimize the manufacturing processes of Organic Electronics materials and devices (http://www.cornet-project.eu/). The successful candidate should have extensive experience and publication record in modeling organic electronic materials and in particular in at least one of the following areas:
    i) Ab-initio calculations (DFT) of electronic structure and charge transport parameters for organic molecules relevant for OPV, OLED and PPV applications.

    ii) Atomistic modeling (molecular dynamics and coarse-grained models) of small organic and polymer molecules relevant for OPV, OLED and PPV applications.

    iii) Mesoscopic modeling (Kinetic Monte Carlo) of charge transport in organic electronic materials for applications in devices such as OPV, OLED and PPV.

    There will be strong interaction with the other theoretical and experimental groups participating in the CORNET project. The appointment starts as soon as a suitable candidate is found and ends at 30/06/2020. Salary should be expected to be around 2500-3100€/month depending on qualifications.
    This position is open EU and International applicants.

    Qualifications: PhD degree in computational condensed matter physics or computational materials science. Demonstration of academic excellence, strong publication record, international experience, fluency in English.
