We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Fellow for 18 months to support a Cancer Research UK Multidisciplinary Project Award.

The successful applicant will contribute to a project to test a novel electrochemical tumour culture system to monitor Reactive Oxygen/Nitrogen Species (ROS/RNS) in primary and metastatic tumours in order to optimise new and existing cancer treatments for patients. The specific project will be discussed directly with the candidate. Our group has had a long standing interest in examining molecular mechanisms of stress signalling in cancer and how this can affect drug treatments.
Candidates must hold a PhD in an aligned subject area. Any applicant must have experience of cell culture, standard molecular biology techniques, image analysis and experience with animals is desirable although not essential.

Informal enquires may be addressed to Dr Melanie Flint ([email protected]). Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on site or via skype, approximately two weeks after the closing date.
