Postdoctoral Scientist – Skin Cancer and Ageing Group

    About the role:
    A Wellcome Trust funded Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr Amaya Virós to identify the biological mechanisms responsible for poor outcome in elderly skin cancer patients and to validate novel adjuvant therapeutic approaches for the treatment of metastatic melanoma. The project aims to integrate knowledge gained from the study of in vitro and in vivo models of melanoma in the elderly with patient derived genomic, immunologic, epidemiologic and clinical data and translate this to clinical benefit for skin cancer patients.

    About you:
    You should have a PhD in cell biology, immunology, or a relevant field. A background in melanoma, ageing and senescence, bioinformatics or use of in vivo cancer models is desirable but not required.
