Applicants are invited for a Post-Doctoral research post in energy and behavioural economics in the School of Economics in UCD. Note: An appointment will be offered at either PD1 (for 14 months), or PD2 (for 12 months) depending on experience. The researcher will work together with the assistant professor of energy economics on research projects relating to consumer behaviour and technology adoption and help develop a cluster of research in consumer behaviour relating to energy.
The aim of the particular research project is to understand and develop a theoretical and empirical model of the consumer adoption of new energy technologies in Ireland. The specific objective of the project is to develop a model of the potential uptake of geothermal heat pumps in the residential sector based on a survey of Irish householders. The project will use the model to advance evidence-based policy recommendations on the renewable energy support in Ireland.

Salary: PD1 - €36,489 - €42,181 per annum; PD2 - €43,394 - €47,255 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
This position may be appointed at either UCD Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 depending on the relevant qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
