Applications are invited for a full-time post-doctoral position with the Neuromuscular Systems Research Lab at University College Dublin. The project represents an exciting opportunity to work on a new multidisciplinary research project funded by the European Research Council (ERC). This project aims to develop a multiscale model of the neuromuscular system to design and test closed-loop control strategies for deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease. A highly motivated post-doctoral research fellow is sought to develop methods to integrate system components across multiple temporal and spatial scales. This work will form part of a wider multidisciplinary project. The project would suit candidates with expertise in multiscale modelling, computational neuroscience and/or physiology of the corticospinal and basal ganglia systems.
