    We are seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated and enthusiastic "Team Leader, Innovation Projects" to join our team.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. To serve as Team Leader and supervisor for all of ML’s “innovation projects”, reporting directly to the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), the Chief Consultant, and the Owner(s). These “innovation projects” encompass, for example, the development of novel, proprietary assays, basic translational skin & hair research projects that explore potential new business areas for ML, the establishment of new key methodology, responsibility for related scientific publications, presentations, and assistance with related intellectual property protection.
    2. Tasks include:
    • Organize and supervise the work for each assigned project in order to meet internal deadlines and quality standards
    • Provide regular and timely project updates to CSO, the Chief Consultant, and the Owner(s)
    • Supervise and train technicians, other scientists and student assistants
    • Establish new techniques, perform hands-on lab work, and trouble-shooting in connection with the assigned projects
    • Must rapidly acquire excellent knowledge of the relevant literature and recent scientific developments in connection with the assigned projects
    • Represent the company at conferences and other external meetings
    • Discuss scientific results with other company employees and contribute to internal educational activities
    • Professional and responsible data documentation and archiving
    • Perform statistical analysis and presentation of data with Excel and GraphPad Prism
    • Prepare timely milestone reports and manuscripts
    • Participating in scientific lab meetings and the organization of workshops
    • Proposing new innovation projects and/or techniques
    Eligibility
    • MD, PhD, or MD/PhD
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English (Company language: English)
    • Publication of several papers in an international life sciences journal in the field of dermatology
    • Documented extensive experience in skin/hair research
    • Adequate experience and expertise to be able to serve as Team Leader
    • Documented experience with project management and supervising technicians, students and/or and scientists
    Requirements

    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to assume full responsibility for all assigned tasks
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent literature digestion and synthesis skills
    • Ability to adequately prioritize work in order to meet tight deadlines, along with good coordination and time management skills
    • Highly professional data collection, management and analysis skills (incl. competence in statistical data analysis)

    Type of contract: Temporary (2 years’ initial contract) with possibility of extension.
    Salary: A competitive salary will be offered, depending on the candidate’s prior work experience and seniority, with gradual increments expected depending on performance.
