Are you passionate about shaping the future of quantum technologies? The internationally recognized Quantum Information Technologies Research Group at the University of Warsaw, led by Prof. Magdalena Stobińska, is seeking outstanding researchers to join our dynamic team. We currently have openings for both PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers.

What We Offer: You will be directly involved in groundbreaking quantum research with real-world applications, working with state-of-the-art topics. We maintain active collaborations with world-leading institutions including University of Vienna, Sorbonne University, ICFO, CNR Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies, and the European Space Agency. These partnerships provide regular opportunities for international travel, conferences, and research visits.
You'll join our vibrant research community that currently includes three postdoctoral researchers, four PhD students, and several graduate researchers. We provide comprehensive career development support and mentoring opportunities to help you establish your independent research trajectory. The position is based in Warsaw, one of Europe's most dynamic and affordable capital cities, offering an excellent quality of life for researchers.

Your Research Journey: You will lead research projects exploring the fascinating frontiers of quantum science, focusing on quantum information theory and quantum entanglement. You'll investigate nonlocality and quantum networks, working to bridge theoretical frameworks with experimental implementations. While our group's primary focus is theoretical, you'll have the unique opportunity to participate in and guide proof-of-concept demonstrations through our experimental collaborations. You'll also have the opportunity to co-supervise PhD and master's students.

Ideal Candidate: We're looking for candidates who hold a PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields. Important: Candidates must already possess an official PhD diploma from an EU or OECD country institution at the time of application and must have obtained their PhD degree no more than 7 years ago. The ideal candidate should have a strong publication record and demonstrated expertise in quantum mechanics/information/optics, along with proficient programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB. Experience with quantum computing platforms is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, as is a track record of collaborative research and creative problem-solving. Experience in securing research funding and/or project management is desirable.

Practical Details: The position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus additional project funding. The anticipated start date lies between May-October 2025. You'll be based at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, University of Warsaw, Poland.

Application Process: Please send the following to Prof. Magdalena Stobińska ():
    - Detailed CV highlighting relevant research experience and publications
    - Research statement outlining your past achievements and future research interests
