PET Imaging Data Processing Software Developer (m/f/d)
Scope of duties
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PET / MRI Imaging Data Processing Software Developer to join our
neuroimaging research group at the LMU university hospital in Germany (franzmeier-lab.isd-muc.de). The successful
candidate will be responsible for developing fully automated data processing pipelines and software solutions for
clinical PET and MRI imaging in neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on primary tauopathies and Alzheimer's
disease.
Responsibilities:
- Develop fully automated cutting-edge imaging pipelines including static and kinetic modeling for tau-PET imaging to be used in clinical, diagnostic and research settings
- Embed neuroimage processing pipelines in standalone software that can be used by clinicians across sites without
programming or informatics skills
- Ensure that the software is easy to use and fully automated for clinical use
- Collaborate with researchers from the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research and the Department for Nuclear Medicine
- Coordinate and streamline neuroimaging data management and workflows within clinical settings
- Keep up to date with advances in PET imaging and software development
Our requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in computer science, biomedical engineering, neuroscience / imaging or a related field
- Strong knowledge and experience in programming (R, Bash, Python, Matlab)
- Familiarity with image processing and analysis, specifically PET and MRI imaging
- Experience with developing software for clinical use
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively

- This position is intended for two to three years and will be based both at the institute for stroke and dementia
research and the department of nuclear medicine.
