We are searching for the department of neuropathology a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher who would like to join our interdisciplinary team to perform a DFG funded project on the analysis of a mouse model of astrocytoma. Aim of this project is to decipher the interplay of astrocytoma specific mutations (Trp53, Atrx, Idh1R132H) on multi-omics level (methylome, transcriptome and phosho-/proteome) to identify new weaknesses of this tumour entity. We offer a broad technical base in our group (Illumina methylation array, MassSpec and high-performance sequencer) and in addition we do have full access to the German Cancer Research due to our affiliation as clinical cooperation unit neuropathology. In addition, we do have a well-established collaboration network with different neuro-oncological groups, to cover any aspects that are not directly in the focus of our expertise. Our main research focus is on translational research, therefore validation on clinical specimen and possible translation of treatment concepts to the clinics is our final goal of this project.

PhD Degree in life science
Omics data experience
FELASA-A or comparable animal handling license
Experience in cell culture, optimal would be stem cell culture and / or 3D culture experience
