The Role
Within the Davis group one of the aims is to realise the full potential of synthetic proteins as possible therapeutics. Within the Next Generation Chemistry theme, you will develop hypothesis-focused protein systems that will explore the potential of synthetic proteins in potentially therapeutic or diagnostic scenarios.
We are now have the opportunity for a Senior Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team. The project is a collaboration with other themes at the Franklin and with potential industrial and academic collaborators, with whom you will work extensively, while liaising with academic experts in the UK and beyond. The post, which is for 3 years in the first instance, reports to the Franklin’s Theme Lead for Chemistry, and will work alongside other researchers in the Franklin.
About you
Candidates must hold a post-graduate qualification, or equivalent experience, in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Biology, Biology, Biomolecular Science, or related subjects. We are looking for candidates with experience in protein expression, manipulation, characterisation and analysis, as well as a demonstrated aptitude for expression system design and construction. Experience with project management and demonstrated ability to deliver agreed milestones in a timely manner is essential for the role.
