PostDoc position
Biocatalytic Synthesis of Chiral Building Blocks
in Graz / Austria for 40 hours a week
The project
The project deals with the design and development of biocatalytic strategies for the sustainable bioproduction of a specific optically pure building block for APIs in an aqueous environment. The search for appropriate enzyme candidates from literature and common databases will be the initial task. If required, enzymes will be improved to fit the requirements of the desired reaction conditions by engineering based on structural information as far as available. Optimization of the reaction parameters in order to increase the efficiency of the biocatalytic process will be part of the project.
