We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to join the laboratory of Franziska Denk at King’s College London.
As a successful candidate, you would join a large Wellcome Trust funded collaborative project to study persistent pain in inflammatory arthritis, also involving the laboratory of Leonie Taams at King’s College London, as well as research groups at the University of Oxford. You would work on the pre-clinical side of this translational research programme, studying fibroblast-neuron interactions using in vivo calcium imaging.
You should have experience with some kind of in vivo recording technique, ideally in vivo calcium imaging or electrophysiology at the level of the dorsal root ganglion or spinal cord. Knowledge of immunostaining and behavioural protocols would also be of desirable. Finally, good interpersonal and time management skills are essential.
Our team is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive research environment. If you are part of a community that is historically under-represented in academic laboratory science – please be encouraged to apply.
This role is also open to international applicants. Our grant will cover some of the visa and international health surcharges that will be incurred.
