Structural failure can be life threatening for passengers and financially catastrophic for the operator and the manufacturer. Complex structures such as composites and metamaterials necessitate dedicated design optimization procedures as well as monitoring
and damage identification methodologies. On-line detection and characterization of such complex structures can lead to a radical reduction of maintenance cost.
Applications are invited for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow post. A fixed-term 24 month contract will be offered to the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to the development of multiscale, design and monitoring tools. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a consistent publication track record in related areas.
This funding call is open to all EU and International applicants.
Informal enquiries prior to making an application should be addressed along with a detailed CV and publication list to Prof. D. Chronopoulos
