    Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within School of Education.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an early career researcher to join and work collaboratively with an internationally recognised team of leading researchers on a research programme to support the higher education needs of women educators in India and Pakistan. This research programme entitled PINNACLE II, is a continuation of an already well-established three-year programme in India and Pakistan and directly addresses Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education); Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and Sustainable Development Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

    The ideal candidate will therefore have previous experience in managing large research projects and teaching and will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator. The highest level of competence in written and oral communication in English will be essential. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have the interpersonal skills necessary for productive collaborations, as well as the ability to bring initiative and imagination to independent work. The successful candidate will also be affiliated to the UCD Centre for the Study of Higher Education.

    This is an academic research role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.

    The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.

    Fixed Salary: €39,131 per annum
