Naturally, you’ll keep your technical knowledge up-to-speed with the latest advances and take responsibility for completing your work to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
    About You
    The candidate will be encouraged to pursue continual professional development, membership of professional bodies (which will be subsidised) and will receive on-the-job training and support. In addition, the role involves attending and presenting at international conferences and leading and contributing to peer-reviewed publications in a range of sectors related to EO and remote sensing applications.

    Development of end-to end uncertainty budget for satellite data.
    Work in a team with cooperation with other international partners.
    Writing technical documentation and scientific publications.
    Good understanding of Earth Observation satellite products.
    Good understanding of the metrological principles of uncertainty analysis.
    Good understanding of uncertainty evaluation for radiometric measurements.
    Experience in mathematical and scientific programming in Python or similar languages and use of cloud computing resources, such as JASMIN, Google Earth Engine
    Good communication and collaboration skills
    Pragmatic, with due consideration of time, cost and quality requirements
    In addition, we require:

    Degree as a minimum in Physics, Maths or Earth Science.
    Strong scientific and mathematical skills
    Good communication skills (oral and written)
    You may also be expected to travel to international locations for conferences and to meet customers in the UK and abroad.
