Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the group of Dr Ingo Greger to undertake research into gating and organisation of AMPA glutamate receptor complexes using structural biology approaches.
This project builds on our recent structural and functional work (Herguedas et al., Science 2019; Zhang et al., Nature 2021), and aims to characterise modulation and organisation of AMPA receptor complexes by auxiliary proteins. Candidates should have a PhD and experience with cryo-electron microscopy. Experience with cryo-tomography would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be awarded a 3-year Career Development Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Training Scheme position. This is a training and development position for a Postdoctoral Scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills. The MRC LMB has excellent scientific core facilities and training opportunities.
