    Full time, 3 years
    Ref: THW/16/059639/001256

We are seeking an interactive and self-motivated biologist with a cell biology background to work on molecular characterisation (e.g. the stress-modulated trafficking (Trends in cell biology 26: 352 (2016) and receptor dimer formation of Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptors and other receptor tyrosine kinases) and cell/tissue/exosome imaging; in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team that is comprised of physicists, cell biologists and clinicians working in this area (Current Biology 19;1788 (2009), Science Signaling 7: ra78 and 7: ra29 (2014), Biophysical Journal 2015; 108: 1013, ONCOTARGET 2016 (in press)).

The successful candidate should have prior knowledge/skills in dissecting receptor trafficking through endomembrane structures. Knowledge of molecular and cell biology techniques is necessary particularly in areas that are relevant to stress-modulated receptor trafficking, such as unfolded protein response and autophagy. The post holder would be expected to collaborate with physicists and biophysicists from both KCL and UCL particularly the exosomal group within the Richard Dimbleby Research Lab and Comprehensive Cancer Imaging Centre.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 27 October 2016
The selection process will include competency based questions, a presentation, an assessment and a panel interview.

For an informal discussion to find out more about the role please contact Prof. Tony Ng ([email protected])
