    POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT in Drosophila Genetics

    Job Description: The successful candidate will work on projects aimed at unravelling mechanisms controlling feeding behaviour. The main goal is to identify molecular targets that can be exploited for improving treatment of eating disorders. The successful candidate will use our successful model of integrating studies using the genetically-tractable Drosophila model, as well as mouse and human studies. This position is ideal for highly motivated candidates interested in making a significant contribution in the field of feeding behaviour and obesity. This is a one year position, with the possibility for a second year of funding.

    Qualification: Candidates should hold, or be within 6 months of obtaining, a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree(s). Individuals with a strong publication record with experience in Drosophila research are highly encouraged to apply. English is the language in the laboratory and knowledge of Swedish is not required. Individuals who clearly wish to embark on an academic career are highly encouraged to apply. Individuals without a clear idea on what to do after post-doctoral training are not encouraged apply.
