Moredun Research Institute invite applications from suitably qualified applicants for a three year post doctoral fellowship in host-parasite interactions.

We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral scientist who will take a leading role investigating host factors involved in determining resistance to cryptosporidiosis in cattle. The position is available for 3 years and the project will be based within an active research team at the Moredun Research Institute and will work in close collaboration with academics at the Roslin Institute and at BioSS. You must have a science degree and a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline and preference will be given to candidates with experience in Parasitology, host-pathogen interactions, molecular biology and who have experience of working with cattle.

You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team and have experience of delivering effective knowledge exchange with internal and external colleagues. The post-holder would be expected to travel and attend meetings in UK and Europe and should possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
