    The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. We perform research and testing in materials science, materials engineering and chemistry to improve the safety of products and processes. At BAM we do research that matters.     Your responsibilities include:

    - Technical supervision of the NDT statics work area (quantitative use of NDT data in recalculation)
    - Technical supervision and management of research projects
    - Acquisition of research projects
    - Collaboration in strategic processes at BAM (focus on transport infrastructures)

    Your qualifications:

    - Completed scientific university studies (Master's/Diploma) in the field of civil engineering, preferably structural engineering or solid construction
    - Completed doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent several years of professional experience in practice with publication activity
    - Knowledge of NDT, measurement technology and/or SHM
    - Experience with the relevant standards and regulations
    - Very good knowledge of written and spoken German
    - Good knowledge of written and spoken English
    - Ability to work on construction sites
    - Good communication and information skills, initiative/willingness and ability to work hard, willingness and ability to make decisions, ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate as well as conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
